To become an Authorized University Vehicle Operator (AUVO)

An individual must have the approval of an authorized supervisor and meet the following qualifications:

§  Has a current completed  AUVO application on file

§  Has completed the appropriate required driver training within the last two years

§  Has a current copy of a valid US driver’s license on file

§  Is at least 21 years of age (18 for Golf Carts)

§  Has possessed a US driver’s license for at least 2 years.

§  Has a current motor vehicle driving record on file(MVR)

Ø   (renewed every 3 years)

Ø  MVR must be acceptable to our insurance carrier

§  Has a current copy of their vehicle liability insurance card on file

  • If the operator is only driving a golf cart the MVR and insurance card will not be required. 

All the required forms are located below.  The completed application will need to be signed by your supervisor. You will also need a copy of your driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a current driving record (MVR). You can get the MVR from any tag agent; there is a $25 fee.  Included is the form you need to fill out and take to the tag agent for your MVR. It makes it (a little) quicker if it is filled out ahead of time. Email all of the required documentation to . After receiving all of your information you will be assigned the online training, please allow up to 10 business days to process the application. After successfully completing the online training you will be approved to drive.
