Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Our Environmental Destiny

7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2002
Henry J. Freede Wellness and Activity Center
NW 27th Street and Florida Ave

Robert F. Kennedy’s reputation as a defender of the environment stems from a litany of successful legal actions on behalf of watershed consumers and environmentalists in New York, his leadership in the fight against national legislation considered environmentally harmful, and his assistance to several indigenous tribes in Latin America and Canada in successful treaty negotiations. Kennedy serves as chief prosecuting attorney for the Hudson Riverkeeper and senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council. He is also a clinical professor and supervising attorney at the Environmental Litigation Clinic at Pace University School of Law in New York. The New York City watershed agreement he negotiated is regarded as an international model in stakeholder consensus negotiations and sustainable develo9pment.

Mr. Kennedy plans to be available for book signing after the lecture.
