Vonnegut is the best-selling author of internationally acclaimed novels and short stories. His list of published works includes some of the best modern American fiction, including the best-seller Slaughterhouse Five, which made him a literary celebrity and was made into a film. Several of his novels are now required reading at universities. Cat's Cradle and The Sirens of Titan have sold nearly 200,00 copies each. When asked what sort of writer he would most like to be know as, Vonnegut replies, "George Orwell."

Vonnegut will discuss his own work in a whimsical manner, and share his philosophy on everything from the state of the family and relationships to war, censorship, and current events. He will also give the best advice he can to those who would like to become writers.
